Our Primary 6 pupils are to develop their critical literacy skills by reading The Irish News. For 8 weeks, our pupils will participate in an array of invigorating activities that will encourage them to actively study local, national and international news.
We hope to arm our pupils with the tools to be able to distinguish between opinion and fact; between evidence based statements and empty rhetoric; between sensationalism and solid journalism.
Our pupils are looking forward to participating in the project and keeping up to date with the world around them!
