Today, 9 teams participated in our annual Fr. Gallagher Gaelic Football tournament. Boys and girls from St. Canice's Dungiven, St. Colmcille's Claudy, St. Mary's Altinure, Broadbridge, Termoncanice and Faughanvale Primary School played in a highly competitive round of games.
In the final of the Shield competition, St. Colmcille's PS narrowly defeated Broadbridge PS, in a hard fought victory that had required extra time.
In the Cup final, Faughanvale P.S. tasted victory yet again with a comprehensive win over St. Mary's Altinure.
We would like to thank all of the participating schools for attending today's blitz. The calibre of football was very high and all teams played in a sporting manner.
Thank you also to our Friends & Parents for providing tea and refreshments for the supporters and treats for all of the players.
